Plenty of books feature mothers, but a much smaller number of them feature dads. In some cases, the reason is not really surprising. Often in nature it is the mother alone who raises her children. This board book shows dads involved with their families. Papa duck watches over his ducklings, a puffin shares parenting responsibilities, and a sea horse dad takes things a step further by incubating and giving birth to the baby seahorses. The beaver and fox dads watch over their young and help them learn the ways of the world. Some dads, like the penguin, also share responsibility for feeding their offspring.
